Eva Sotomayor Morales

Doctor of Sociology (University of Jaen) who has been covering the position of Database Director at the Centre of Sociological Research since July 2018. In addition, she is member of the Interministerial Statistics Commission on behalf of the Ministry of Presidency, Relations with the Cortes and Equality. Furthermore, she is associate professor  of Sociology, with teaching experience in the fields of social work and services, at the Department of Psychology of the University of Jaen. In addition, she has 12 years of recognized work in the field of research.

Previously, she was the Director of the UniverDi Programme ( in collaboration with the ONCE Foundation ) at the University of Jaén, as well as the coordinator of the official Master’s Degree programme in Leadership, Management and Administration of Health and Social Care Centres and Health Services (Dirección Gestión y Emprendimiento de Centros y Servicios Sociosanitarios), held at the same University.

Moreover, she is a member of the Academic Commission of the inter-university Ph.D. programme in Comprehensive Care and Health Services created by the Universities of Jaén, Lleida, and Vic-Central University of Catalonia, and held at the University of Jaén. She is also the Vice-President of Colectivo Feminista Carmen Olmedo and a member of the Ethics Committee of Aprompsi (Asociación de personas con discapacidad psíquica de Jaén, Association of Persons with Intelectual Disability of Jaén).

In conclusion, she was also the Director of all of the four International Congresses on Intellectual Disability that were held at the University of Jaén in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2016.
