Lola Izuzquiza

Doctor of Educational Sciences and Professor at the Department of Education Didactics and Theory, with 12 years of recognized work in the field of research.

She is director of the Patronage Chair UAM-PRODIS for Intellectual Disability, as well as coordinator of the Master’s degree program in Quality and Improvement of Education.

Furthermore, she is director of Specialist Master’s Degree Program “Formación para la inclusión laboral de jóvenes con discapacidad intelectual”, as well as of the Promentor Program. In addition, she leads a Work Group “Inclusión social y laboral de personas con discapacidad intelectual”, at the Autonomous University of Madrid (since November, 2006).

Moreover, her work was recognized by the National Down Syndrome Research Prize, as well as with the first Research Prize in the Ibero-American Down Syndrome Congress.

To conclude, she is one of founders of the Association of Early Care Professionals of Madrid (Asociación Madrileña de Profesionales de la Atención Temprana), as well as the Advisor of the PRODIS Foundation, whose aim is to improve quality of life of persons with intellectual disabilities.
