Rosa María Díaz Jimenez
Rosa María Díaz Jiménez has obtained a Ph.D. in Social Work, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Publicity and Public relations and an official Master’s degree in Feminist Research. Early in her professional career, she worked as a social worker for different social organizations and institutions in Andalusia aimed at giving support to people with intellectual disabilities.
Later on, she focused on the fields of teaching and research at Pablo de Olavide University of Seville. Her lines of research are functional disability, gender and social policy, on which she based her scientific contributions.
She is Professor at Pablo de Olavide University, where she has carried out research for 6 years (CNEAI, National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity) and teaches Social Work classes within the Bachelor degree program at the Faculty of Social Sciences, as well as other classes in Master’s and Ph.D. programs at various Spanish and American Universities.
She is currently Dean of the Faculty of Social Science at Pablo de Olavide University and Member of its Senate and the Governing Council.
